Mr. Heckler was my Cumberland Valley Junior High School principal during the early 1960s. His office had a large window facing the hill with Silver Springs Elementary School on top). I remember his telling my parents that the highlight of his day was watching me roll down the hill with my pigtails flying around my head. Mr. Heckler was a kind, gentle soul who cared about the students. My condolences to the family.

Jim was not only a great administrator at Cumberland Valley. He was a constant golf partner at the Carlisle CC in the late 1960's. He hired me as an assistant principal in 1970 and was a great supporter of our basketball program from 1965-70. he and his wife were a caring and wonderful couple. He left Cv to return to his beloved Scotland school. God bless Karen and James Jr. You had great parents.
