Not sure what to say?

As Jim's elder brother, I was completely stunned by his passing, so shortly after we had exchanged recent family photos. Attending the "Indy 500" together with him and Dan and later his son from 1950 until the early 1980s; delivering newspapers together in our formative years; visits to Knoxville, the Boston area and, of course, his beloved Bloomfield; these memories and a host of others keep alive for me the joys of his life.

The prayers and of myself and his erstwhile...

As Jim's youngest sister, I speak for my family in thanking all of you for your kind words. Jim never missed an opportunity to play the big brother role (mostly in pranks) when we were growing up. He was truly a gifted guy; we will miss him very much.

Cecile & I have known Jim for many years through the RV club we both belonged to. He will always be rememberd as a kind and gentle man.

Jim spent a lot of time with our family throughout the years. He was always interested in how we were doing...After reading his obituary I realize how little I really knew him. Our family was blessed with the time he spent with us.

My Father has always been and will always be with me in my thoughts, and in my adventures in life. Thank you everyone for your kindness and sympathy. It means so very much.

Jim was a gentle, generous, and thoughtful person. He captured in photographs a very special time my son Renny and his son Scottie had together when they were around 5 years old, in 1975.
Although we were separated physically we will not forget how he touched our lives.

I especially will miss Jim. He and I communicated regularly. Best Wishes to the family

The loss of Jim Hegeman is a great sorrow for me and my family. We will sorely miss his presence but keep his memory close at heart.

Sincere sympathy from one of Jim's Wally Byam friends.
