Just learned today (May 4) of Jim's passing. I told him last summer that I would be in MA to celebrate his 100th this summer. Dear friend, shipmate and always the life of the party, all of us who served with Jim will remember him with great fondness. Austin Brainerd

I was a high school friend of Steve´s and remember Mr. Henderson as a gentleman of intelligence and humor who tolerated our shenanigans. Fond memories and rest in peace. Sounded like a beautiful and fulfilling life.

I worked with Jim in Pupil Services of the Springfield Public Schools. He was intelligent, very witty, patient and kind. My condolences to his family.
