Not sure what to say?

Dear Shannon, Kevin and Sara,
We’re sending our sincere sympathy in the loss of your Dad. He sat through many a piano recital and this alone made him a very special person! I know he was also involved in attending many sporting events which he loved. Please know you’re in our thoughts and prayers as you go through these very difficult days.

I am very sad to hear this. Jim was a true light of life. He had an energy that surrounded him. He shared it. I worked with him at the PO and he made me laugh SO hard, so many times and helped me through some stressful situations. I still think of those times quite often. I am truly sorry for this great loss. I know his family was very important to him. You will be in my thoughts.

My heart sank to a very low place when I read of "Jimmy's" passing. I met him at a young age, as Jim was a good friend of my Dad. His warm smile & laughter...his kindness...Mr. Herber you WILL be missed. To Jim's family, I am so sorry for your tremendous loss. A special note to Dave, Jimmy's brother & also one of "The good guys"....I have You & Sonya in my heart. You were a bright, shining light, Jim. I looked up to you since I was a kid. Say hello to my "Ted & Sherm"...

Truly a top notch guy. One of the best. The world needs millions more like him!! Rest in Peace, Jim!!! My condolences and Deepest Sympathy to the whole family.
I will remember calling him for the NODA program and he would always help out. I also have the memory of him presenting the WHV quilt to my Grandpa Ervin Ott just before he passed. It was such a beautiful thing having him show up and knowing the family connection there. He even stayed and had a drink and maybe a little food with...

Our deepest sympathy goes out to Jim's great family. I knew Jim for over forty years. We worked together, played softball and basketball together. He was like a big brother and very kind to me when I started at the PO. We had a history at Zieggy's, I almost laughed constantly when we were together. Just thinking about Jim always made me smile. Kathy also worked for a time with Jim and enjoyed his company any time she saw him. Peace my friend!

i am grateful for every day I had Jim as a friend. My sympathy to the entire Herber family.

To Jim's Family,
Jim was an extraordinary man. He helped me plan a surprise birthday party for my son years ago, not knowing that we had connections to the past. We both went to Holy Name school and North High. The night of the party, we realized the past connections and had quite a few chuckles. He was a very generous, kind person with a beautiful smile and an unforgetable infectious laugh. He was a person a friend could always count on. Cherish the memories. Rest in peace...

I've known Jim all my life, he was a great man. Always had a smile and kind word. My mom Rosie Hermann and Kenny hermann were good friends with him. My mom, brother and I send our deepest sympathy. He will be missed, the world is a darker place without him. Sandy moore

Our sympathy and prayers go out to Jim's family. We have many fond memories of Jim from swimming at the Quarry and skating at Skate land in our younger day to having birthday drinks every year at Frankie's Bar. Jim was a fun-loving guy who will be greatly missed.
