In 1965 Jim Herbstreit played a very positive role in my youth. I was a troubled confused young 15 yo. in N. Thoughts and Prayers for the Herbstreit Family

Dear Kirk,

I was deeply saddened to hear of your father's passing. With the passage of time, I trust that the acute pain from which you and your family now suffer, will in someway be lessened.

With Sincere Condolences,

Deepest sympathy to all the Herbstreit family! Jim was a great Buckeye role model by those of us that stepped on the field after him! He helped recruit me any many of my teammates!
He will be remembered by all of us!

The best to Jim's family going forward!

Karen / Jim Davidson (& family) and the 1964 Buckeye team

To Louise, Teri, Kirk and family,
So sorry to learn of Jim's passing. He was a dear friend of my late husband and myself from OSU football days and in Dayton with Cole-Layer-Trumble Company. Herbie was a special, caring guy that will be dearly missed by all of us involved with the 1961 OSU team.
Deepest sympathy,
Linda Mrukowski (Bill)

See you on the road

To the Herbstreit Family you are in our Prayers

My condolences to Coach Jim Herbstreit's family and friends. Coach Herbstreit made the transition from high school football to college football at the University of Akron (1968-69)more palatable. His high level of energy and dedication was contagious. He was a great coach and mentor. R.I.P.
