Not sure what to say?

Dr. Herz was a very long family friend as well as my first orthopedic surgeon.

He was a close friend of my late father, Ty Cobb, and spent many a wintery day in Virginia City as children, sledding together and enjoying Grandma's hot chocolate and always-delicious cookies and cakes from her old coal and wood stove.

When Grandma (Eva Cobb) was ina nursing home the last part of her life, Dr. Herz came in to visit...Grandma exclaimed with delight, "Oh, Jimmy!" She quickly corrected...

The forgoing comments were from Carmen Poloni, Laclede, Idaho.

What a wonderful tribute to your father! I never knew about his service in the military. He was an inspiration to us all.
I spent many hours with your family at the Monroe Street home. It was a treat to stay at your Glen Brooke home and also to be included as part of your family on trips away from home.
Thank you Dr. Herz for giving me such cherished memories.

My heart goes out to you Pat and the family. Sorry to here of you fathers passing

It was an honor to work with Dr. Herz and fascinating to learn of his various interests and accomplishments. He helped me to build a medical practice by sending me many patients after I began practicing in Reno back in 1980, which was much appreciated. RIP, Jimmy.

One of the greatest men I had the pleasure to know and work for. I am a better pearson today because of "Papa Herz".
My thoughts and prayers go out to the Herz family. God bless you.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as we remember a wonderful man with a life well lived. I remember my dad referring to him as "Jimmy". They went to school together from McKinley Park to Reno High.

What a wonderful, loving obituary for a fine man. Even though I can't say that I knew him well, I remember him as a kind, well-respected doctor who loved his family. I hope you have a wealth of memories to comfort you in your time of loss.

I used to scrub for him a Washoe for many years in surgery. He was a talented surgeon.
