Not sure what to say?

It has taken me some time to write anything in the guest book, because I just can't believe that your gone Dad. There are alot of good memories of growing up with you by my side to help with little/big things. I miss you very much and you will always be in my heart and thoughts. I will remember when I was 9 months pregant and out mushroom picking with you and the good times we had doing things like that. I truly miss you.
Love Josie

Dear Genne, Rich, Mrs. Herzog and extended family,

We are so sorry for your loss. Although we could not be with you this week, our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you go through this difficult period.

We will always remember Jim for that special twinkle he had in his eyes - you never knew exactly what he was thinking. He will surely be missed at our annual Christmas visits to Pittsfield.

May God Bless,

My family and I hold each of you in our hearts and prayers as the following weeks unfold.

The loss of a spouse of so many years i can not imagine. However having lost both parents, my own father this summer, i know how hard it can be.

Uncle Jim is no doubt in a far better place than those left behind. I imagine he and dad are together up there catching fish or tracking down some critter or other.

I wish you all the strength you will need over the coming weeks.

Dear Mrs. Herzog and family,

We were so sorry to here about the loss of your husband, father, and grandfather. Please accept our deepest condolences. God Bless.

My thoughts and prayers are with your whole family.

It is said that no one knows you as well as yourself but that we get glimpses of the person who you are - Dad (Daddy) you gave us many glimpses of yourself and now as your children represent some of those same charactaristics. You lived life to the fullest and never let life's interruptions get you down. Your thoughts were always of others and how this would effect them, especially Mom. I know you loved us your children in all your actions throughout our lives but that special twinkle was...

As one of the newer members of the family my list of stories and memories are not as vast as the rest of the family. I however enjoyed seeing Jim almost every work morning to exchange a greeting and watch him smile knowing I had to work today and he didn't. I've been very fortunate to have known him and be accepted into the family. I've enjoyed listening to him tell stories (some streched each time they were told) or recall a vacation we had taken and talk about the Party Boat we went on in...

Our hearts go out to you at this time and in the days ahead.

I am so sorry for your entire family for the loss of your father. Uncle Jim was a wonderful man and I know he was proud of each and every one of you.

I have many fond memories of our family get-togethers. I remember camping and fishing for crabs with chicken necks and net.

But, especially, I remember Uncle Jim always having time to talk to me as I grew up. As an adult, we talked about camping in Maine and he told me "neat" places to visit on the east coast.

My...
