Not sure what to say?

We looked forward to Uncle Jim's visits as children, but after not seeing him for more than 5 years, he walked into our lives in 1988 and we have seen him nearly every year since that time. I had just moved to Miami and my first-born son was 6 weeks old, when I opened the door and there was Uncle Jim. He will be sorely missed at future family events, especially the graduation of my son im May.

Our family is spread out from NY to CA. But Jim kept all of us in touch because he loved to travel, and visited each of us nearly once a year. We all very much looked forward to his coming, for he would bring us up to date on not only himself, but also all our relatives.

"Grandpa" Jim: With Alexander (5) and Estrellita (3) paternal grandparents in Ecuador and the maternals one in other states, Jim was the stand-in grandfather since moving to Denver in 2004. He also was Alexander's godfather - a perfect choice for all his worldly wisdom and honesty. Always a great listener and an interesting conversationalist, he was a pleasure at every outing and event. Truly an irreplacable guy...

He is also Alexander's godfather because nobody had more insight to share. He has been the only one throughout my life to have assisted practically every major event in my life, someone we have always been able to count on. The ability to share our activities, long chats, and longer walks will be...

The image of his traveling 250 days a year, in a white Toyota pickup (with a cap and no air conditioning), keeping in touch with all the various members of the clan. He was the glue to give the all the families a common point of contact. He could get more information out of a new acquaintance in 10 minutes than from someone who has been your neighbor for ten years

Uncle Jim - Spring of 2002

Uncle Jim was a very entertaining guy, always full of interesting stories from his travels and was generous at giving great advice for dealing with finances. Danielle and I will never forget his generousity, his charm and tremendous wit.

Jim was loved by all in his family. You could count on him attending graduations, marriages, confirmation, births and other special occasions. Jim will be missed.
