James Pitman Hesterly Jr.

I did not know Mr. Hesterly, but I have known his wife through the years. Reading his obituary, though, reminded me of a recent Tweet from an acquaintance of Twitter that says it all: "My father has been dead for nearly 10 years now. Some days I still weep for his loss, but now I look at that sadness as a gentle reminder that he was worthy of being missed after all this time. That's the kind of legacy we should all leave behind." What an awesome legacy he left behind!

Dear Elizabeth, Pit was a kind and sincere human being who gave me a chance to learn the abstracting business when others did not. I enjoyed our time working together.
