Jim & Mina were dear friends of ours from our years in Cancun. What fond memories we have of the hours spent laughing and visiting and eating M&M's under the palapa-Mina only ate the red ones. Mina always had her favorite spot on the beach and reserved it early each morning. Ron enjoys telling the story of the time he and Jim rescued the two ladies who had sunk their sun fish. We will miss them both!

Uncle Jim was my great uncle. I will always be grateful to him for inspiring within me a lifelong pursuit of music. He played Claire de Lune for me when I was about six years old and I was absolutely enthralled with his beautiful music. From then on I strived to learn the piano and organ and play from my heart. Mina was my grandfather, William's, sister. She and Jim were such a joy to be with, and their laughter resonates throughout my memories. The last time I saw them was at my grandfather's funeral, and I remember her tight embrace of my grandmother and the quiet words and tears that they shared. Mina was the last remaining Gilreath sibling, and our family will do our best to carry on the strong family name.
