Jim was the primary reason I came to A.E.Ehrke & Co. almost 40 years ago. Jim was a kind and humble gentleman in every sense of the word. I'll always remember the hospitality and kindness Jim and Lee showed Helga and me when we first came to Cleveland. I am thankful to have had Jim as a friend and enjoyed working for and with him. My thoughts and prayers are with Lee and the family.

To the family of Jim Hickel,
Very sorry to hear the news about Jim. Jim was a super guy, humble, fair, professional and cared about his family, friends and employees. He was instrumental in achieving a good transition when he retired form A E Ehrke. I hope Lee and all his family are doing well and wish them all the best.

Farewell my friend. It's been many years since Bud, Lenny, you and me got together to play jazz but I still remember those days fondly, as if were yesterday.

I started at A. E. Ehrke just shortly before Jim became president and worked with him until his retirement. I remember how his whole face lit up whenever he smiled. My condolenses to Lee and the family.
