Sadly, another Quincy legend now belongs to the ages, was taken too soon RIP Jim, as you truly were one of SQ's finest, & one of its most beloved residents. You always had the most endearing & uplifting smile, while you were as genuine & compassionate as they come. The first time that I really got to know you, probably 10 years back, I was struck by your sincere kindness, authenticity, generosity, deep sensitivity to people, past family history & by your fascinating life experiences (you...

Our deepest condolences to Jenny, Craig, Paul and the entire Hines family. We were shocked and saddened to read of Jim’s passing. His larger than life personality was captivating and memorable. Whether it was a spontaneous hug, a pat on the shoulder or an enthusiastic wave from his truck, we always knew Jim was sincere and caring. Jim’s memory will live on forever. He was unforgettable. Jenny and Craig,
So sorry to hear of the loss of your dad. We were '76 classmates at NQHS.
Your dad selflessly volunteered his time to the Squantum Storm for many years, mostly to spend time with Craig. When it was time to pass the torch he came to me with great pride of the Storm's progress during his tenure. I happily obliged and carried on his great passion for the Quincy Youth Football League. I'm sure that you're proud of this legacy that he has left behind.
