Not sure what to say?

I have been Mr Hinson's dental hygienist for several years and I always enjoyed talking to him during his dental cleaning appointment. So sorry to hear of his passing. My prayers are with his family especially at this time when we can't all be together to support one another.

Sid was very special to me. During my years on the Sheriff's department, Sid was always there to give me advice and guidance. He was more than a Lieutenant to me, he was a true friend! The world has lost a great person, and he will be truly missed by all his friends and family. Sid, Heaven will be a better place with you--no more pain or sorrow! Love you "Big Sid!"

I enjoyed talking history with Lt Hinson when he worked security at Kroger.

Some very good 'bad times' spent with Sid. A great lawman.

GOOD BY MY HIGH SCHOOL FRIEND.

Knew Lt. Hinson thru his security work at Big Apple Warehouse Stores. Was a great man to work with.Praying for family.

Mr. Hinson was an important and trusted lifelong friend of my Dads, James Avera, Jr. The day our Dad passed, Mr. Hinson stopped by in my Dad's final moments and whispered his good-bye in my Dad's ear. My Dad thought the world of Mr. Hinson. They enjoyed their many years at Bibb Sheriff Dept together. We know my Dad greeted Mr. Hinson at the gates of Heaven and are sure they are sitting reminiscing over a cup of coffee.

Officer Sid Hinson was a "Big Sid" influence on my Father, Lt. Gerald Amos, BSO Retired. I grew up with stories of the crazy adventurous calls Lt. Hinson and my Father would respond to. As a little girl I laughed and lauged at the stories and those stories still keep me in giggles every time my Father shares them. It is a gift that warms my heart throughout the years. My thoughts are with the Hinson Family. I wish you peace and healing. God speed, Lt. Hinson.
