I enjoyed our many long debates (even though everyone else in the house hated them), and I will truely miss him coming to vacation at our house every summer. I can definitely say I learned a lot from Unc and have countless memories. I am glad he was able to see me grow into a man, and he always let me know that he was proud of me and to keep pushing. "Hooks" as most of us called him was a really nice fun loving guy. I'm thankful that he thought enough of me and my wife Ernestine to spend a few nights with us in North Carolina in route to his family in the DC area last year. May the family be continuously blessed with his memory.
