James Randolph Horner, 88, died August 12, 2015 at his home in Mohawk. He was born August 22, 1926 in St. Clair. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1942 to 1946. He lived over 50 years in the Dayton, OH area as a self-employed painter and became a member of the Painter's Union in 1967 before returning to TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carmel and Blanche Roberts Horner; sister, Edna Smith; grandsons, Willis and Randy; special friend, Mary Smith.

He is survived by his two children, Jackie Buck and James Horner II; granddaughters, Shelby Buck and Lisa Dunn; great-grandchildren, Breanna Auton and Dylan Dunn; several extended family members and friends.

Family and friends may call at the home of Mr. Horner on Saturday, August 15, 2015 from 2 to 6 p.m. (505 Flea Ridge Road, Mohawk). A graveside service will be Monday, August 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Bent Creek Cemetery in Whitesburg.
