James Raymond Houswerth, Jr., age 83 of Hoffman Estates. Beloved husband of Margaret F. Houswerth, nee Gelardi. Loving father of Kathy (John) Angle, Lori (Steve) Pedersen, James Houswerth III and Michael (Cindy) Houswerth. Dear grandfather of Christy Angle, Jeff (Megan) Angle, Kimberly Angle, Corinne Angle, Kaylee Angle, Kati Mattes, Kelli Mattes, Kyle Pedersen, James Houswerth IV, Joshua (Elise) Houswerth, Jacob Housewerth, Kassie Korbel, Nicky Houswerth, Dean Houswerth and Samantha Houswerth and great grandfather of Madisyn Angle and Alexa Korbel.

James was born in Chicago June 7, 1931 to the late Catherine, nee Schrimpl, and James Raymond Houswerth, Sr. He passed away February 17, 2015. He was a member of the Carpenters Union, Local 1539.

Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 9 PM and Saturday from 9 am until the time of the service at 10 AM at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated to the American Lung Association.
