I found out today(4/24/14)about Jim's passing. When I was unable to reach him by phone,
I started checking his whereabouts with no luck. Then I checked on line in The Plain Dealer Obituary and read of his passing. I'm so sorry for your loss. Jim and I had a lot of good times together. He was a great friend and will be greatly missed. Mary.

To the family of Gramps as my Son & Pat called him. They so loved & respected him as he lived right across the hall. I never had the pleasure of meeting him but Dan & Pat really loved him. My prayers are with you & god bless to an extraordinary man.

This is sad, he was an American Patriot, US soldier. I am a disabled combat vet Vietnam and we were next door neighbor's for 10 years. He taught me more about WWII than I ever knew and the questions he asked me about Vietnam he never knew. My wife and I
did as much to take care of him both called upon and not. We were always there no matter what. He adored my wife.... I'd also like to say that there is another resident in the building who went up and beyond, both his family and ours are...
