Alice, Katie and Annie,
We are so saddened to hear about the loss of Jim. We will always appreciate your family's friendship, while you served in Richmond.

Dear Alice and family -- I was so saddened to hear yesterday from my Dad of Jim's passing. Jim was such a wonderful youth pastor to me so many years ago and He sure showed me the right path. We spoke a few times in my adult life and I know Jim was a wonderful man and ministered a lot for the poor and the needy. Alice will be praying for you and your family in this time of loss. May the Lord provide you with comfort and peace as only He can do.

Dear Alice and girls,
Our prayers have been with you and will continue to be as you go through this most difficult time. Although we were mostly acquaintances we shared many friends at Providence Yorktown and Wesley Memorial Norfolk with you. Our daughter, Rayna attended VOY with yours and shares her love and prayers, too. Alice, we are not far down the street from you...in Quinton. If there is anything our church family can do for you, please do not hesitate to ask. Our deepest...

Dear Alice,

No one can say anything about Jim that you don't already know, many times over. Everyone of us, in "our group" at Calvary were transformed into a higher calling for one another because of Jim and what he brought into each of our lives. His compassion for his fellow man surpassed anyone I have ever known.

Although many quotes and antedotes come to mind, the single most poignant one is, "don't put the burden on someone who is hurting by saying let me know...

Dear Alice, Katie, Annie, and all Jim's loved ones,
I was so very sorry to hear of Jim's death. It was a pleasure to know Jim and work with him in days past. God bless you with wonderful memories, and with God's peace. My love to you and to Steve and Becky.

Alice, Katie, & Annie,

We were saddened to hear about Jim's passing. I wish we could have been there for the funeral, but we were on vacation. I just wanted to let you know that Jim and his family meant so much to us. All of you will always have a special place in our hearts. Every time we pass a Krispy Creme donuts with the light on, we think of Jim. He introduced us to that wonderful delight when he surprised us with a box of warm donuts one night. We will always have that...

Dear Alice, Annie, Nathanial,Katie and Mike, My heart aches for you and your loss of such a kind, caring family man and minister. I shared lots of laughter and joy working with Jim as his secretary. All of you shared your lives with us and we will always be thankful of the memories.

Jim Hundley was a wonderful Pastor and friend to our family. We never wanted to miss his sermons, even if we were "squirming" in our seats. He always got to the point and told it like it was. We are blessed that he came to visit our Church recently and we got to catch up. I'm sure he will be missed dearly by his family and new church. Our prayers to the family.
