James "Jim" Ihrie

Jim and my husband Chuck Miller had been friends since childhood. Later Jim was best man at our wedding and then sadly a pall bearer at Chuck's funeral. We miss you Jim.

My father met Jim about 4 years ago and lives down the street from him. Jim would come over sit with my father or he would would go over and sit on Jim's drive way and visit for hours. He was kind and friendly to my dad and enjoyed his company. We are sorry to hear about his untimely passing. My dad will miss him greatly especially during the summer months when Jim sometimes would go on a walk with him.

We lived on 39th and J st over 30 years ago, Jim was a great neighbor, would stop up on the weekends for coffee, we always had lots to talk about, he would go to Knoxville, IA every year for the racing and then keep us informed on the races. He always had a piece of candy for the kids. Jim was just a great man, he will be missed

Jim and my husband were close high school friends. Jim was also best man at our wedding in 1968. Sadly my husband Chuck, passed away in 2009. I think they are now cruising somewhere in heaven in a wonderful classic car. My sincere sympathy to the family .

I knew Jim from working at LT&T, and remember him as being kind. My sympathy to his family
