Mr. Irwin was one of my mother's neighbors at Tel Hai. I saw and spoke with him on a regular basis for many months and truly enjoyed him. My young grandchildren were often with me and they, too, found him to be a pleasure. Perhaps that's because he would occasionally find a pack of cookies or two to offer them.
