Jim was not only a fabulous designer -- he was a fabulous person and friend! Although he could design "fantasy", he was a warm, loving, and down-to-earth person. I was blessed to have him in my life.

On behalf of all of us at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside I would like to express our sadness over the passing of our business colleague, Jim. Jim worked as the Interior Designer for our Hotel for the last ten years. Jim was a true professional and a pleasure to work with. Contagious laughter, dessert lover, patient teacher, beautiful man and dearest friend. I will always leave a light on for you-

I knew Jim as a Katrina evacuee to my sister's home in Baton Rouge. He showed great courage in the face of the storm and of his illness. I remain grateful for the years he mentored my daughter Lindsey in her design work. With all sympathy, Ann Forster

Jim will be greatly missed by the design community. He possessed a tremendous talent not only in his work, but was a warm and genuine person. I have lost a colleague and a friend. He will always be in my memories and prayers.

My husband, Chris and I were both saddened to hear of Jim's passing. He was a valued friend and great designer. We enjoyed working with him during our home construction. I always think of him when people compliment our home. Our deepest sympathies go out to Jim's family and friends. Sincerely, Anne and Chris Montgomery
