Not sure what to say?

Though I knew Jimmy only briefly at Duke more than 20 years ago, his kindness, unbounded positive energy, smile, and boisterous laugh were unforgettable. When I heard the tragic news of Jimmy's passing, I remember being both deeply saddened for all of his loved ones, friends, teammates, and fellow rangers and soldiers, and also honored to have briefly known him during a time when I was struggling with life and needed lots of kindness and patience. All the moving articles about, and tributes...

To The Family of SGT James Regan:
I am also in the US Army, (Reserves) and was also stationed in Iraq at the time that your son was killed. Though I did not personally know him, My unit at the time was a hospital unit called the 399th Combat Support Hospital. We tended to all the many wounded, and also to the remains of all those who came through our hospital. Though we were stationed in several cities in Iraq, I myself was in Balad. I did not get to directly see any of those who may...

To the family and friends of Sgt. James J. Regan:
It has truly been my honor to sign James' guest book these past few years. Unfortunately, due to complications from my Multiple Sclerosis, this may be the last message I'm able to write. Please forgive me and know that James will always be remembered in my home.
With love and respect ~ Peggy

Dear Regan Family,
I don't know if you remember but my wife and me accompanied the return of James and 19 other fallen heroes from Ramstein AFB to Dover AFB on a C-17. I played lacrosse at the University of Maryland on two National Championship teams 1955-1956, as you can imagine I was a bit disappointed with the results of the recent championship game.
I was thrilled however, to see the Regan Family honored on the field before the game, a very fitting tribute for the outstanding...

The image of the young woman in front of young Jims headstone ended up as a posting on Facebook (Memorial Day 2012) from a friend of mine, so I researched the name on the memorial monument and posted his story as an addition for those who see the image... such a young man, James. I wish you all the best and sincerely sympathize with your loss. Andrew R. Klinker.
