I had the pleasure of meeting Jay at his retirement party. For such an important gentleman, Jay could be unassuming. Of all of the many people one meets in life's journey, some you never forget, and Jay was unforgettable.

Although I haven't seen him in years, Jay and I were good friends from early Presbyterian Sunday School through high school (where we had some interesting times in band and Curtain Club.}
He was gifted musically and athletically (as demonstrated by his championship baton twirling)but, above all, was a good, dependable friend...
My sincere condolences to his family.

Jay was a great friend to me in our school years at Refugio, from 1945-1957. Jay gave me my fist kiss on the firt day of school,we laughed about that a lot. His mother was a room mother in our early grades and was always so good to me. I am so glad to hear about Jay and his life . God bless his family, my prayers are with you all. Barbara

I am so sorry that I could not make it to Dallas for the funeral; but know that my prayers are with each of you. May God hold you in His arms during this difficult time.
