Not sure what to say?

Dear Teresa and family, Jim was part of my life during High School and the beginning of college, he was a true friend and wonderful listener. He always brought a smile, his humor and laughter to every gathering....during this hard time, I pray you will remember that laughter. Thinking and praying for you all; sadly I am unable to join you today, but continue to keep you all in my thoughts.

Wonderful Teresa,

I will miss knowing that Jim is out there in the world sharing his great wisdom, smarts, compassion and humor. I have shared many Jim stories over the years to my friends and family that showed his amazing humor and fun. May you, your children and all the Jacobs find gentleness, peace and love in the great grace with which Jim left you.

Peace and love to you all.

Dear Teresa, Conor and Marni, You have all been much in my thoughts these last weeks and I wish I could be there in person for Jim's memorial. Your generous gift of allowing us into your life during thes time of Jim's death is greatly appreciated. I grieve for your loss. This morning the words "shadow of death" keep reappearing in my mind. And I think of what that must have been for you. We all live in the shadow of our own death but for you it has been an intimate present place. And a...

I met Jim as freshmen in high school at a retreat filled with kids from Central, SMA and SMVA. We bonded there over our favorite ice cream flavor, actually. Jim and I connected off and on throughout those years and again at OSU. His love of life, deep curiousity and sense of humor remained with me as indelible memories. I deeply regret his passing and can only hope that you Teresa, your kids, and the entire Jacobs family will find comfort and peace in the love he left with you.

Hi Teresa,

I have followed Jim & you on your journey via your Mom. When I heard of Jim's passing it was bitter sweet. I am thinking of you & your 2 wonderful children. Love, Marge

Dear Teresa

I am so sorry for your loss. I have followed your journey thru news articles and from e mails from your in laws. We all grew up on Cleveland Ave and have wonderful memories of those years. Our families shared many happy and crazy times. Those were special times we all remember and will cherish. You and all the Jacobs are in my thoughts and prayers. Jimmy is an inspiration and an example to all of us. God Bless all of you.

Hi, Teresa and Mr. & Mrs. Jacobs:
If I remember James it only was as one of the little kids in the neighborhood who might have said something to me when Gene and I drove off to Chevron Asphalt those many years ago. (I was the oldest of the "Curtin kids," and our parents and, to a certain extent, us kids, were very close, especially in matters surrounding Holy Redeemer School.) I am truly sorry for your loss; I know when my sister Cathy died at age 49 our mom, Olive, had trouble...

Jim was a wonderful son. He was full of humor, love, compassion and
was always there when his family needed him. He has left his mark on his physics department and loved teaching at the University of Montana.
He will be missed. Rest in peace, Jim. You are loved!!

Mom and Dad

Hi Teresa,
My name is George Pluchos. I was Jims neighbor on Cleveland street. I have been in contact with Jims parents the last few months following Jims brave path.
Watching Jim over these months inspired me beyond words. He faced the inevitable with dignity and bravery. he is certainly someone to be admired.
I am proud to have known him.

Bless you and your family.
