Not sure what to say?

Coach Jeffrey's was my football coach at EB Erwin High School, 1974-1975. He was one of the first to congratulate me on receiving a Marine Corps ROTC scholarship to Auburn. He always pushed me to.be my best. I know this is 9 years later, but Coach you did make a difference! Jack L. Wilkes, LtCol USMC (Retired)

Coach you've had a impact on me and my life, the way I think and do things and now I will do my best to keep you in mind when making important descions because I know you had my best intrest at heart even when I was sitting in front if you in the office. :)
Heaven's a better place tonight with you there.

Dear Inez and Children, So very sorry to hear of Jim's passing; however, I did not know until 2 wks ago, otherwise I would have been at the service. Jim was very much respected by all who knew him; and, made a lasting impression on both young and old. My prayers and heartfelt sympathy goes out to you all. Donna Molay Walls

Jim was recently selected to the Chattanooga High School Hall of Fame. We are extremely proud to have such a distinguished graduate as Jim Jeffrey as a member of our Hall of Fame and extend our deepest sympathy to his family.
Doug Jones
Chairman CHS Hall of Fame

Just know that all of you are in our thoughts and prayers. Jim was in his element working with kids. I will always remember all of the fun times we had working together in the Peer Helper Program. Jim always had the kids best interest at heart. He made and impact on many and will be missed by many. Be forever thankful you had such a wonderful husband and father.

Thinking of you

There is not enough space to say what a impact this man made on my life.I will try and make it short.in 1970 at erwin high school coach jeffries coached me in wrestling ,when I was a 9th grader.he had never coached a wrestling team before. But, you would have never thought he did.that man changed my life forever.he told me ,rather it was wrestling or ever day life never say can't. I was 2nd in the state that year and won 2 state champion ships over the next 3 years .I was so blessed to have...

Coach, You will be greatly missed by many people. I am very proud to say that I am one of the only (if not the only person)
that you coached at 2 different schools. First at Erwin and then at VHS. You made a positive impact on my life. I know you are pain free and in a better place. May God Bless You and your family. Don Chandler

Inez & family,
I had the pleasure of coaching with Jim at Vestavia beginning in 1979. Jim & I butted heads that first year; but those experiences brought the two of us together. I have ever since considered him a dear friend. Jim had an imposing exterior that belied his warmness - he was so kind to me.
I will miss seeing Jim coming.
My love to you & family.
