OLD HICKORY, TN

James Charles Edwards of Old Hickory, TN, died on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the age of 69. Jim was born November 6, 1949 in Madison, TN.

Jim served proudly in the United States Navy. He practiced law in the Nashville area for many years.
Jim had a love for the great outdoors. He especially loved hunting, fishing, his horses and his dog.

He is preceded in death by parents Cola C. Edwards and Inez Edwards and brother Cola L. Edwards (Vern) of Knoxville, TN. He is survived by sisters Joan (Bill) Ussery and Nancy C. Edwards; niece Karen Whittle and her daughter Emily; niece Carolyn Campbell and her son Michael Justin McCaig; nephew Matthew Cathey Edwards of Knoxville, TN and his children: Becca (Ryan) Kelly (children Mason and Olivia) and Cole (Joy) Edwards (children Bodie and Kellen), and cousins Tommy (Mary) Edwards of Mt. Juliet, Teresa Rollings and Ed Stone of Huntsville, AL, and Clella Prince of Old Hickory. Special thanks to cousin Aaron Prince for his dedication and care of Jim, during his recent illness. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 1:00 Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Hermitage Funeral Home, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN 37138 followed by a funeral service with Bro. Ken Dye officiating. Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
