Read MoreWhile Jim and I shared one year at MPHS (11th) we didn't meet till several years later. We lived in the same apt. complex in Newark and became fast friends for the next 50 years. My wife and I would stay with him and Donna when we'd visit DE and I was hoping to see more of him when he moved here to FL. There's nothing I can add to what has already been said about the kind of man he was and I will miss him and our conversations.

Don't worry.Look my age now.
I was Jim's date for the band dance in 9th grade,
the year before leaving Mt Pleasant. He brought
a homemade corsage, lovely flowers scrunched
up tightly in aluminum foil. It was too heavy to pin,
so it was carried for the evening. Jim had a ready
sense of humor, and was, almost surely one of the
brightest, if not the brightest, student in our class.
A super person. Feel so saddened by your loss.
