Dear Betty & Jimmy:
Our deepest thoughts, prayers, and love at this very difficult time are with you and your whole family. As you know, Lennie & I think you are someone special. Anything we can do for you, let us know.

Dear Joyner family:
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy and prayers during your time of bereavement. May God, our Heavenly Father, comfort and bless you during this time and beyond.

Dear Betty,
My heart goes out to you and your family. I can only imagine the sorrow & pain you must be feeling. The strength of the Lord is there, only for the asking. God Bless, Shirley Jones

Trish, Jeanine and I extend our deepest sympathy. Jim was a shipmate of mine on IOWA. As the Gunnery Officer he excelled and enjoyed every minute of his time aboard. Take care--you are in our prayers. Gene

Dear Betty, Jimmy, Gregg, Trish and Christopher,
There could never be enough words to express the sorrow and loss we all feel, but I want you to know you are in my heart and prayers. Tons of childhood memories have floated through my mind today and they are all bringing such a sweet smile to my face. Betty, you and Jimmy were my second parents and "Jimbo" and I were like inseparable siblings. I was always so in awe of his amazing mind and I think he truly delighted in teaching me...

My deepest sympathies. I had the distinct pleasure of working for Jim for almost three years. I was constantly amazed by his boundless energies and enthusiasm and seemingly endless interests in almost every topic under the sun. I have never met someone with Jim's organizational talents. I am sure that his spirit soars.

Dear Trish and Christopher,
My deepest sympathy and condolances to you in your great loss. I first met Jim at the JWFC at Ft Monroe in 1995 and through the years I enjoyed working with him on many exercises. He was always very thorough and professional in all that he did. He will be missed by all of us. May God bless you and give you strength in the coming days and always.

To the Joyner Family:

May the Good Lord guide you in these troubled times. Jimmy was one of the good guys.

Jim, Betty (Mom), Trish, Chris, and Gregg,

Jimmy was my brother. I will always treasure the time that we spent together, and the friendship that we shared. The vacation to the Shenandoah Valley with 6 people crammed in the car, the uncountable weekends that I spent at your house as a teenager, the models, the board games, Miko the giant Siamese cat, and Thaddeus Chauncey Zadeblouski. I will miss Jimmy terribly and keep my memories close to my heart.
