Not sure what to say?

I was only nine or ten years old in 1952 when I met Jim Julian, who was lifeguarding at Hickory Hills Country Club. I have been extremely near-sighted all my life and as a little kid, I was afraid to jump into a swiming pool because it looked to me like a bottomless pit. Jim had me climb onto a lawn chair and jump onto the grass several times. He then told me that jumping into a pool was a much easier and more comfortable jump and he offered to jump with me. It got me over the fear of...

Just returned from the 50 yr class reunion of Monett High School Class of '62 and the loss of our coach and friend was foremost on our minds. He influenced our lives greatly. He instilled a hard work ethic, taught us that we had to live with our mistakes - not blame someone else - and most of all, it was about teamwork, not the individual. We are better people because of him. Thanks, coach. We owe you.

I am honored to have had Coach as a teacher of math and a coach of the track team.
Coach saw my potential and instilled in me the desire to excel. More than 20 years later, I'm still that person, pushing my self beyond my expectations. Mrs. Julian, you and Coach rocked Southeast High School and your students will always love and appreciate you for that. Thank you for teaching me geometry, calculus, trig, and computer science--no one can take that away from me.

God bless...

Coach and Mrs. Julian were truly an inspiration in my life. may god bless his soul. he will be forever remembered.

Coach Julian was my geometry teacher and my track coach. He talked me into running hurdles and I later attended college, due to his efforts, on a track scholarship. Mrs. Julian was my pre-calc teacher. I love you both and I know Coach Julian would be tickled to know that I am now a Middle School Math teacher. Thanks Coach! You will be missed! Darla Payne (Florence, KY)

I have fond memories of Coach Julian as my geometry teacher and Mrs. Julian was my teacher for advanced math at Southeast. I don't know of any other teachers who were more respected and loved. We will miss Coach, and will keep you, Mrs. Julian and son Pat in my prayers.

Dear C.B. & Pat:

What wonderful, special memories I have of you and Coach Julian at Monett High. I have thought of each of you many, many times over the years, and always will! You were the best! (PS - I still have hair.)

To: Mrs. Julian and Family,
Thank you for being true teachers of not only of academics but of life as well. Your patient mentoring made life at the "Castle" such a positive experience. Coach's joking ways still brings me laughter. Mrs. Julian may God bring you peace in knowing that you both touched so many lives and that the fruit of your labor still lives on in us.

To Mrs. Julian and Family,

May God give you the strength, wisdom, and, comfort during this time of sorrow. Coach Julian was a wonderful teacher and set me on the path that has shaped my life. Thank you Coach Julian. Rest in peace.
