Jim meant so much to me and my family. As my father's best friend and the father and uncle of my close friends, his loss hit our family as hard as losing a close family member - because that's exactly what he was to us, even without a blood connection. It was Jim who introduced me to the beauty of classical music (quite different from my rock & roll preferences), the joy of sailing in the Bahamas, the opera, the importance of making tough but smart business decisions, and to his wonderful...

In 1974 my good friend Richard Wolfson recommended his accountant Jim Kaufman to me and I´ve been with Jim and the firm ever since. I am greatly sad that Jim is no longer with us but I am pleased that he left such a wonderful legacy which I and many others will continue to value.

We send our sympathy to Eric and all of Jim´s family. As a neighbor , he welcomed us into the community 23 years ago. He was so considerate of everyone in the community; a tremendous leader for many years. A generous and amiable friend, I loved seeing him leave our street in his convertible and elegant hat.
