Not sure what to say?

Jim was one of my roommates at Claremont McKenna. He was wickedly smart, a gentle giant, unassuming and kind with the biggest heart. I´m so fortunate to have known him. My sympathies to his family for their loss. As the obituary read, Jim lived more life in his years on this earth than most would in two lifetimes. God Bless.

I only just read this and am both shocked and saddened to know that Jim has left this mortal coil. I went to nursery school (Child/Parent Coop) with him and there was generally a Kearney near every Thomson as we all journeyed through childhood. What I remember about Jim was that he was always kind to me, no matter how weird I got once we were all in high school. He took everything in stride, both literally and figuratively. It was difficult to rattle him, and that was what made him the...

Jim was one of my favorite classmates at the UW, as he was for all who knew him. Jim and I were in the same 1L small section and then we both worked on the same law journal for the next two years, and took a lot of the same classes. We laughed a lot in those three years. He was very funny. He took his work seriously too, but always with a good measure of grace and wit. I particularly remember hanging out in the journal room and downstairs in the school foyer. I even got in on the skiing, with...

Thank you sharing about Jim. He was funny and kind and easy going and I´m sad that he left us too soon.

Jimmy... you'll always be little Jimmy to us. We still live across the street from the home you grew up in. You were a great kid, and you will be missed. Ray and rose miller.

Jim was admired and highly respected by his clients and legal co-workers. He brought a laugh and fun to those fortunate to know him. He will be missed. With sympathy

I didn't know Jim but was deeply moved (and charmed) by this obituary so wanted to commend whoever wrote it. Creative, evocative and ... possibly a wee bit worthy of this terrific person. If the powerful wording was not enough, I reach the end and see SMART -- I've been a SMART volunteer since 2001 and yes, such a great program/cause! I'm so so so sorry for his loved ones, wish he'd had more time, but glad he had the half century-plus that he had. Thank you, again, for the beautiful tribute....

Jim was a really great, kind person in grade school and beyond. It was a true honor to know him. My sincerest condolences.

Many fond memories of clowning around in the back of Algebra and other classes, skiing, and paling around with Jim. Still hard to comprehend he´s gone. All our love and energy to everyone who he touched along the way. May the strength of Jim´s legacy sustain each of you.
