My name is John Beatty and when my parents retired to Sedalia I would make it a point to call Jim on his ham radio whenever I visited my mom and dad. Even though I did not get to know Jim personally (regrettably) over the years, I always remember our conversations on ham radio. I enjoyed them immensely and we were "friends" through our common interest in this wonderful hobby. Thank you Jim for the many kind and warm contacts over the years. You will be missed.
