Not sure what to say?

When Fred and I were on the Mathematics faculty at Samford University in the 1970´s, we did several things together. We played pickup basketball at lunch time in the Samford gym. We were the two shortest guys on the floor but no one could shoot like Fred. He was always our team´s leading scorer. We traveled to conferences together, chaperoned student trips and many other activities that usually involved fun. Fred was always in a good mood and was a great colleague. I pray God´s blessings on...

Fred was one of my favorite professors at JSU and was a dear family friend, as my parents both worked with him there. I was fortunate to come back to teach at JSU, where Fred became a colleague and mentor. He was one of the kindest and most well spoken people I have known. We will miss him terribly.

Fred was a great colleague and friend. He cared about his students. We played pickup basketball during our days at Samford. Fred was always one of the best shooters on the floor. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
