Not sure what to say?

Cheryl & family,

Charlie and I just wanted to tell you how sorry we are to read about Jim's passing. We remember fondly our time with your family at Grayson Valley. Charlie has told the story many times in his sermons of the time when Jim was at school and all his friends told him how sick he looked even though he felt fine. As Charlie quotes, "By the end of the day, Jim really was sick. Such is the power of suggestion".

Jim did what he could to help us through a bad...

I remeber so well my first visit to 1st Assembly of God in Thomasville, GA. The red headed pastor through song and the preached word changed my life and the lives of my family for ever. That pasor was of course James Kent. Pastor Kent, Cheryl and their wonderful daughters were so kind to me and my family. The time we were at 1st Assembly was one of the best times I'v ever experienced in my christian life. Because of the love and leadership Pastor Kent deposited into my life I am now in...

Cheryle, Kerri, Kristi, James and Iva Lee:

Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss.

I realize that there are almost no words that can change the sadness that you must feel at this time. However I want you to know that you are in my prayers and thoughts.

Pastor Kent was there when I said good bye to my brother Timmy, and again when we said good bye to Uncle Kenneth. I will always be greatful for that.

I also will always be greatful for the...

Our heartfelt sympathy and prayers to the Kent family. Pastor Kent will always be remembered in our hearts.

I remember playing football with Pastor Kent when I was a teenager. Him being my Parents and Grandmother's Pastor. But most of all I remember him preaching my Dad's Funeral in January 1990 and the Lord beggining to tug at my heart through the words Bro. Kent spoke and a few months later I rededicated my life to Christ. Praise the Lord for the poeple that were reached and touched by his example.

Cheryle, Kerri, Kristi, James and Iva Lee:
I am so sorry for your loss. Joe and I will always have wonderful memories of a small store front church and a red-headed bundle of fire preaching the Word of God. Those days and the ones that followed building Grayson Valley Assembly, will always be a testament to Jimmy and his love of God and to preaching His Word. You and your family our in our prayers.
