James C. “Woodcutter” Kesterson, age 62, a resident of Dierks, AR died Sunday, January 20, 2008 in Dubuis Rehabilitation of Christus St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, TX.

He was born August 12, 1945 in Dierks to Johnsie and Hester Mounts Kesterson. He was an employee of Shawn Gibson Trucking of Broken Bow, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a niece, Sandy Kesterson; a great niece, Ashley Devasier; and a great nephew, Brandon Devasier.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Leeper Kesterson of Dierks; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Michael Putman of Lewisville, TX and Amy and Sam Rogers of Dierks; one son, Todd Kesterson of Dierks; one brother, Glenvil Kesterson of Lockesburg, AR; one sister, Glenda Chandler of Dierks; nine grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Kesterson will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2008 in the New Bethel Cemetery with Rev. Larry Allbritton officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home, Dierks.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the funeral home in Dierks.
