I knew Jim for many years from when I worked at the State Historical Society. I was in charge of setting up our auditorium for speakers and special guests. Jim was instrumental in installing and teaching me how to use the new equipment. He was the sweetest and one of the niccest people I've ever worked with. Always willing to come help me set up for special speakers like Ginger Rogers or Cokie Rpberts. You will be missed.

Our condolences to the Kirchstein family. Jim was a wonderful neighbor over the years. We enjoyed our brief chats at the mailboxes and seeing him show up at some of our 4th of July parties. Remembering how Jim would often plow our driveway after it snowed, possibly because in years gone by (before the highway was redone) people living up his driveway had to get a running start from our driveway if the conditions were slippery. Good neighbor, we miss seeing him.
