Not sure what to say?

He paints the sunrise and the sunset every so often. When he does, it is especially beautiful. Grampa is deeply missed by me and I cannot believe that he is gone. He was the arms I ran to when I needed a hug, the one who wrapped our presents with the funny papers, and who was up at four AM drawing the bulletin for next week. He took me out fishing on the dock, he taught me drawing techniques, he carried me inside from the car as I pretended to be asleep because I so loved his smell and how he...

I had the pleasure of knowing Jim through the St Petersburg Free Clinic. It was always a pleasure to see him at the pantry whenever I came in. Jim would always lend a helping hand to whomever needed it. He was a model for what it meant to serve onto others whether that be through military service, the church or in the community. I was privileged to call him friend. Thank you Jim for all that you have done. Your service will not be forgotten.

My husband John and I both volunteered with Jim in the food pantry at the Free Clinic. He was a kind person and took pleasure in helping those less fortunate. He always had a smile on his face and enjoyed the work he did there.

He also was a wonderful artist and proudly shared his work with us. It was a joy to see his drawings and to listen to how he was inspired.

He often spoke of his children and grandchildren and it was obvious he was very proud of each and every one of them....

Jim and his sister Terry Memorial Day 2016

I had the pleasure of knowing Jim via his sister Terry. His artistic and creative nature was his strength. I have lovely pieces of art to remember him by ...I can see him drawing with his pencils looking down on us from heaven. He was a gentle soul. Judie
