Dear Marie, Jimmy, Katy, Christy & Amy,
I am so sorry for not finding out about Jim's death sooner. We had a message on out machine when we returned from North Carolina this evening. I am so sad. I loved Jim. He was always the same no matter how long it had been since you'd seen him last. He had a great sense of humor & was always fun to talk to. I am in utter shock. I would never had missed his funeral if I'd known. I know there was a misunderstanding & I will speak to you soon Marie....

Dear Mrs. Kirlin and Family:

I don't know if you remember me but I worked for Jim at Drexel back in the early-to-mid 90's when he was Director of Personnel. The girls came in from time to time and so did Jim's dad. Those years working for Jim were, by far, my favorite years here. I was told of his passing this past Wednesday and wanted to let you know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts are with you, Marie, and your children and of course with Patsy and Peggy and Jack and Michael. Jim's passing is a personal loss to me because we were close. The time I spent with him when he worked at Drexel will be my consolation. I loved his laugh and his easy going manner. I am sorry I cannot be there to wish him farewell.

My condolences to Marie his wife and all his children. Jim as all the Kirlin's was a wonderful person, a kind person, a great personality, a family man, a good husband. Their parents did a good job in raising all their children with character and integrity. I will miss him, he was a good cousin and person. Gone to soon.
