Jim was a multi-talented gentleman who I had the pleasure of knowing for almost 50 years. He always had a twinkle about him. He also did a great job of raising one of my best friends in the world, Dick Kirwan. Hat's off to both of them.

I loved my grandfather more than words could explain. He was my hero along with my dad. The countless time working down in the wood shop will never be forgotten. I used to call him the man that could fix anything as which he did with countless toys of mine. A man who stood so short but resembled a man taller than the empire state building. I will never look at the clouds, eat McCormick's chowder or fishing lures quite the same. It was pleasure to get to know Jim. I am just sorry life got busy and I never got back to see him or share a bowl of chowder with him. He will keep a special place in my heart.
