"Shooting Star"As his family looked on, Jim pulled wheels up on his final flight in the early morning hours of Dec. 14, 2012, and he was gone. The sky was clear and the ceiling unlimited-perfect flying weather. A brilliant display of the Geminid meteors blazed a trail through the heavens to...

Not sure what to say?

Mr. Jim Kiser was flying escort for my father's 307th Bomb group on April 12, 1951. Marvin King was a gunner in aircraft #44-62252.

Kiser was flying an outclassed F-80 (8thFBG) but didn't hesitate to attack the Russian MiG-15 fighters. Despite the valiant efforts of the escort pilots l, several B-29s were lost that day. Dad was among those captured.

Kiser was shot down in Aug 11, 1951, and ended up in the same camp 2 as my Dad.

God bless all of the USAF...

Jim Kiser as POW

Jim Kiser as POW

Margie, Becky, Jenny, Ricky and Dan,

Joanne and I are sorry we could not be there for the service. Uncle Jim was truly one of my role models as I grew up, along with Josh and my father. I cherished the times I got to spend with him, particularly touring the museum at Eglin AFB when he finally talked frankly with me about his experiences as a POW. I particularly enjoyed taking he and Josh to the White House, the Korean War Memorial, the Air Force Memorial and the new Smithsonian Air...

What a mentor and honor it was to be associated with Mr K at the beginning of my real estate career. It was an honor working with someone that had values, morals and a wonderful personality. There are few people I know with the integrety that Mr K had. I wish peace for all the family and I know he is with his co-pilot.

I came to know the wonderful Kiser family when I moved to Ft. Walton Beach in 1979 and started work at the Sundance Agency. Jim always treated everyone with respect, fairness, and demonstrated a commitment to professionalism and high ethical standards. It was my priveledge be a Sundancer with Jim as my broker and to work with Becky and get to know Margie. Words are not enough. I hold his precious family in prayer.

Jim and I continue to keep your family
in our thoughts and prayers. My dear
friend Becky-the love and devotion you
have always shown your family makes me realize what true grace is.

Marge, may God grant you His peace and comfort in these days...Love you, Clay and Beth Edge
