Not sure what to say?

Just learned of Mr. Knight's death. He was an uncle of a very good friend, Lee Malambri. As I get older I reflect on what his generation did for us. Mr. Knight's bravery and devotion to duty during WWII allowed my generation to reap the benefits of the American Dream. We should never forget what these men did for us.

To the Knight family - I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I had the privilege and honor of meeting and corresponding with Mr. Knight. My grandfather was also part of the D-Day invasion.

Hey Uncle Jimmy - You and your great life will be missed by many. - Hannah Chale

I believe in Heaven. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Bless.

Dear Margaret, Fred & Family: Scott & I were so sorry to hear of the death of your Dad. Please accept our condolences and know that we honor him for his service to our country. May he restr in peace. Dorothy & Scott Keough

Mary and Tim- We are sorry for your loss. Cherish wonderful memories during this time of loss.

Jim Knight's father, James Sr, was a friend of my grandparents, the late Byron & Georgiana Smith; my Dad, Byron Jr., also knew Jim. I recall our spending a pleasant summer afternoon in the lawn of the Knight home back around 1960 or so, though I was much too young to remember Jim's distinguished and inspiring war service. We are all the poorer for the passing of Jim and his generation.

Dear Margaret:

Please accept our sincere sympathy to you and your family with the loss of your Dad. Although we didn't know him, our Aunt Dorothy Keough often spoke to us about Mr. Knight being one of the Nation's Greatest Generation.

We honor Mr. Knight for allowing us the Freedom we all enjoy today.

You are in our thoughts and prayers.

The Knight family lived right around the corner from my family in Fulton, many years ago. While Jim was older than me, I knew his brothers. I just wanted to salute a veteran for his service, and offer condolences to his family.
