Jim influenced so many people in his life, with his energy and creative nature. I knew Jim first as teacher, and got to know his family as an assistant at the beginning of his "Wizard of Clay" business. I have so many fond memories of that time. Conversations about everything as we worked the clay. I can still make a mustache cup with out even thinking. We were sitting out back of the house in Greece and Jim blew some bubbles onto the ground, and said that is what my studio will look like...

Lois, Jamie, and Kasia: Sadly I only found out of Jim's passing today, 1/17. Our community was truely blessed by Jim & Lois. Their generosity and dedication to our town was unmatched by most people. I MC'd the annual rotary golf tournament in the latter years and often sounded like a broken record acknowledging all of the numerous art works that the Wizard of Clay generously donated to our main fundraiser. The business that his family created helped to put Honeoye/Bristol on the map...

We have so very many wonderful memories of our dear cousin. Jim created the urn for what has become my mom's final resting place. He made it in the colors of sand and water to honor her love of the beach. He prayed with us as we placed her ashes into their final resting place. We will always be grateful for his friendship, deep love of bringing the family together, his kindness and warm smile, his great sense of humor. We are honored to have known this talented family man.
