Not sure what to say?

I didn't know Jim laird as well as I would have liked, but I from what I can remember thinking of the times I saw him and met him always make me smile. I always loved the fact that he allowed our family to use the cabin in vermont (which are some of the best and most favorite memories of my life. It's where I feel most at home and at peace in this crazy world.). I used to love hearing the story Jim and my grampa smith use to tell me about the war; some may have been a little long and boreing...

To my Sweet Cousin Doris
I am so very sorry you have lost your best friend, husband, confidant. We have so many wonderful memories of cousin Jim through our years of visiting the camp and family get-togethers. He was one of the kindest, most-giving men I know and I'm proud to be a part of his family. Jim and I had talked about allowing part of my ashes to be scattered on the wind off the deck at VVV. Having his old WWII letters for a...

Aunt Doris,
We are so sorry to hear of Uncle Jim death. He was not only my Godfather but a special uncle to me that I have lots of wonderful memories of. He was one of the most giving people I have ever known. My dad,(Bill) always had funny stories about Uncle Jim and their crazy times and fun at the VVV.
Always he'd have kind words to say about him.
I love you and my heart goes out to you during this time of sorrow and just know that our prayers are with you!
