Not sure what to say?

Jim Lance was a wonderful teacher and as a former Navy SEAL transferred his respect for the power of the ocean as a demanding yet kind SCUBA and sailing instructor. I am so grateful for his opening the underwater world to me so many years ago.

I completed the Scuba certification course with Dr. Lance at the University of Miami in May of 1984. He was a passionate teacher and an effective communicator of knowledge. So sorry for your loss. Dr Lance was my dive instructor at UM in early 90's. Awesome teacher, awesome guy, Very Tough but fair. Funny (Sense of humor) as anyone I have ever met. He will be remembered.

My treasures are the fond memories I have of you.
You will always be missed.
