Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to hear this news, Mrs. Laney. You are great people and what I remember most is always seeing Mr. Laney smiling and waving. I just saw the for sale sign two days ago and wanted to stop by and was told of the news. GOD bless you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Jimmy Laney came into my life in 1949 when I was six years old. Later when we moved to Arlington, Jimmy truly became part of our extended family. As I grew up in Arlington, Jimmy was always there. At First Baptist Arlington, he was an integral part of every Sunday and influenced many as he modeled a terrific example of Christian manhood. He did that throughout his life and was a positive force in everything he did. He was a true example of the greatest generation.

I have wonderful memories of our years of fellowship at FBC Arlington. We were a group of young singles sharing worship and fellowship together. My late husband, Jerry, was a good friend of Jim.

My condolences. I had the honor of growing up across the street from the Laney family. Jim was always kind to all the kids on the street. I remember their big back yard that was a perfect playground for the Wren Street kids.
