I was sad to hear about your loss. Jim was a great friend to law enforcement and to us Federal Agents at ATF. He was an honest hardworking DA and a good man that we all enjoyed working with. Best to you all.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Over 320 homicides in Boston alone in two years. We were drowning. Then came Jimmy Larkin (and another who knows who she is) settling cases by fair changes of plea and guilty trials more quickly than anyone ever. Jimmy, a Dorchester boy can tell a South Boston boy our city and I owe you much.

My condolences to Jim's family. We were colleagues in the Suffolk DA's Office in the 80s. Jim was a fine prosecutor and a nice man. God Bless.

I worked with Jim in the Suffolk District Attorney's Office, sharing an office with Jim and now Judge Mary K. Ames and Judge Mark Summerville. He was a character and brought many characters from the Boston Fire Department Arson Squad to the office to interview them. He always had a story and smile. God Bless and Keep Him
