James D. Lawson, age 47, of Homewood. Beloved husband of Susan Lawson (nee Hutton). Dear father of Daniel James and the late Christopher Douglas. Cherished son of Douglas and Winnie Lawson. Loving brother of Nancy (Ed) Clark, Pamela, and Michael (Mary). Loving uncle of Michelle Roche, Andrew and Jeremy Hutton, Sean, Bridget, and Will Clark, Patrick Hutton, and Andrew Lawson. Son-in-Law of Bruce and Lois Hutton. Brother-in-Law of David and Sue Hutton, Ed and Pam Hutton, and Marie and Bill Kirkpatrick. Jim was a passionate enthusiast of hockey, football, baseball, golf, classic movies, and an avid baker with a great sense of humor. He was a coach, friend, and mentor to many. Resting at Tews Funeral Home, 18230 Dixie Highway, Homewood, IL on Wednesday 3 to 9 pm. Funeral Thursday 9:15 am to Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am.
