Not sure what to say?

Jim, you will live on in love and memories of our work together in Congress. You were my mentor, my leader, and an exemplary public servant. Oh, how you are missed, but you will be a lasting inspiration to those who knew you (like me) and those who knew about you. I pray and send love to Deba and the family. Connie

Jim Leach was one of the kindest, nicest and honest people I have had the pleasure to meet let alone work for. This is very sad for the American body politic who will miss you at a time when we need more like him. Thank you Jim for letting me work for you; by far the most enjoyable job I have had, what a class act.

12/21/2024 I first met Jim Leach in during the 1980s in NYC and later in Washington, DC through my active involvement with the Ripon Society of the Republican Party. He was the "platinum standard" of what all public officials should strive to be. He was a Republican very much in the tradition of Abraham Lincoln. He will be missed. May his memory be a blessing. I had the privilege of working with Congressman Leach on a HUD senior housing Project in Marion, Iowa, sponsored by it´s church community. He was very supportive of the project from the start. With his help, our hope for 8 units grew to 42 units now has 112 units. He was a true humanitarian.

The epitome of class. An outstanding athlete, intellect and human being, the nation and myself suffer his passing. A giant among men, yet walked hand in hand with the common fellow. He is greatly missed.
