Not sure what to say?

Jim was a friend of mine from grade school on up. His insightful thinking and compassion for others will be missed. My sincere condolences to the family and a prayer that you remember and appreciate the good times. God has blessed us all.

Words cannot alone express how sorry I am to hear this news. Jim must have been, indeed, a wonderful father and husband. You have my heart-felt sympathy for your loss. May you find peace with time

I wish to extend my condolences to the Leahy family. Though I haven’t talked to Jim in many years, I have many fond memories of him and the entire Leahy family. I was introduced to them through my friend Ed Hagan and cousin Richard Reddick. We all spent many hours together playing poker, touch football, volleyball, softball, Spades, and just hanging out in the 70’s. Jim and I played many hours of hotly contested tennis matches down in Oak Lawn, usually followed by dinner somewhere. He was...

Dear Pat,
We were so very saddened by the news of Jim's passing. We have very fond memories of Jim and even though the distance between us didn't afford the chance to visit often, we enjoyed the times spent in his company, particularly on the golf course where he always kept things in perspective and light-hearted. There wasn't anything he didn't have in his golf bag that's for sure! He has been a wonderful brother in law to Lesley, and you are a beautiful sister in law, Pat. Take care...

I offer my condolences to the Leahy family. I too will miss Jim. I have known Jim since Jesuit High School and beyond. I remember meeting Pat in the early 80s and she was the light of his life. Jim will be in my thoughts and prayers forever.

Jim will be missed by all. As a grade school class mate I remember many a moment enjoying his searing wit. One in paticular stands in my memory, a remark he made as we shared "time out" in front of the Parish office. I laughed so hard I earned another "day at the office". I also remember many fond times playing poker and spades as UNT students. Jim was a fine human being and his life was an example of how we should all approach our time on this earth.

I am sorry for the loss of your husband. Although I did not know him, I read his obituary which is exemplary. I am 79 years old and have been divorced for years but I understand how you must feel.

My sympathies to all the Leahy family. Jim's wonderful wit was a highlight of the Leahy Cup every year. I will miss him, and am very lucky to have known him.

It is a sad occasion. I is comforting that I have many fond memories of Jim. I have known Jim since grammar school days at Mary Immaculatee School and our days at Jesuit. As kids we used to ride our bicycles together all over Farmers Branch. I can't believe how much freedom we had back then and how far we rode our bikes. When I think of Jim I also think of playing football on the playground at Mary Immaculate, playing football at Jesuit, and playing golf. During one of my recent visits to...
