Not sure what to say?

Me and Eddie became childhood buddies, as a result of his father, who was like a father to me. Eddie and I joined the military together, I the Marines and he the Air Force. He also introduced me to my loving wife Ann, of 51 years. He and I talked on the phone almost daily, during his last days. I loved him like a brother and I still miss his laughter. Til we meet again, you are in "High Flight", love, Joe.

Corrections to my previous entry: wedding was August, 1963; my home in California is Santa Monica

Jimmy and I were very close friends in High School. My last memory of him is seeing him in dress whites at my wedding, 45 years ago, August 1965. We spoke of him often - and failed to find him through the years. Unfortunately, he was reported as deceased at our 25th high school reunion - no one had any facts. My dad was his dentist, and swore that the announcement was wrong - his aunt would have informed my dad. At our 50th HS reunion in September, 2008 many of us were asking about our...

Helen, James and Jene, So sorry for your loss. We are all richer for having known Jim....always warm, welcoming and so proud of his family.

With admiration and respect I am
Pete Lappin a fellow pilot with Jim
during the first days at MacDill in the
F-4. The Triple Nickle was our first
true Air Force family and I will
always remember the strength of
character that Jim gave us. My
condolences to Helen and his entire family.

My condolences to the family. A friend from the old Triple Nickel days.

My condolences to the entire family. I was a friend of Jene's in high school and remember her father fondly as an always welcoming presence in their house. As my grandfather also recently passed, our family joins yours in celebrating a life and grieving a loss. Hugs to Jene especially!

I'm greatful for the relationship Eddie and I shared with each other, and his father, who guided and directed both of us. Which in turn, became a great love between the three of us.

I am also greatful for Eddie's introduction to, and guidance in the relationship, with the woman I've been married to, for 47 years.

I love you Eddie, you're Special.

Joe

My husband and I had only known Jim for a short period of time. I've worked with Helen for several years and during that time we came to love and respect both Jim and Helen. Jim will be remembered as a gentleman, a kind and loving husband and a wonderful father. Jim, you will truly be missed. Helen, may the Lord continue to keep you wrapped in his loving arms.
